School hols … it’s a perfect time to let the dentist check out your children’s teeth

An appointment at a time to suit you and no need for children to miss school

All right … it may not be the first thing on your ‘to do’ list as you ease your way into the long school summer holiday, but when you think about it, this really is an excellent time to arrange for your children’s teeth to be checked over or for any necessary work to be done by your dentist.

You’ll probably have much more time available right now than when term time begins again, which means you can choose an ideal appointment slot that suits you.  No need to rush.  No need to fit it in around school hours that probably means late afternoon, evening or weekends.  And no need to disrupt your child’s education by taking them out of class.

As one of the North West’s leading dental practices and with our unrivaled experience in treating children’s teeth, we’ve recognised that very often parents can find it really, really difficult in finding a convenient time, or even the time to fit in their children’s dental appointments.  Sometimes, dare we say, this can lead to some children not seeing their dentist often enough meaning that routine but vital check-ups can be missed and even worse we’ve sometimes found that necessary treatment has had to be pushed back because of time pressures.

The other consideration is that like most organisations operating in the ‘medical services sector’ we find that there is much more demand for appointments after school hours and after work.  So if you are available during the day when many people are at work, then you have a far greater choice of appointment times and you can arrange for us to take a look at your children’s teeth at a time that suits you.

It could be that all that is required is a routine check-up so that we can keep an eye on the condition of your children’s teeth and if we do spot any potential problems we will be able to take prompt action to resolve it.  In most cases this means only minor treatment is required – usually there and then – instead of the need for more complex and stressful procedures, which could require further appointments.

So it’s well worth thinking about this before you get too far into the holidays.  Don’t leave it until the children are back at school and maybe you’re back at work.  That is when time can become a major issue.  Give us a call now and choose a time that is convenient for you.  You can call us on 0161 951 7295 or alternatively you can contact us by using the online form on our Appointments page.
