Sunken cheeks? Crows feet? Laughter lines?
Admitting that you’d like an improvement in the way you look is the first step towards looking as good as you feel.
Luckily, Sculptra™, a non-invasive, gradual facial treatment, is now offered for a fraction of the cost of expensive and invasive surgical procedures. It stimulates the body’s natural collagen to fill out the wrinkles, lift the face, and restore volume to the parts that really need it.
Developed exclusively by sanofi-aventis, one of the world’s foremost pharmaceutical companies, Sculptra™ is made from a synthetic substance called poly-L-lactic acid which is already used for dissolvable stitches and soft tissue implants. Poly-L-lactic acid doesn’t harm the body in any way – you won’t even need a skin test – and it’s easily broken down and absorbed without causing any toxicity effects.
Don’t worry; the absorption takes place over months, Sculptra™ is slow acting and long lasting. Normally it lasts between four to six months, however in some clients it can last longer up to a year.
At least two treatments are usually required to achieve the desired effect. Following application under the skin, your face may appear to a little puffy, but this is due in part to swellings around the injection sites and the water with which Sculptra™ is diluted. Within a few days, swelling will decrease and your skin will look the same as it did prior to the treatment but fuller and filled out.
So why bother
Over 4-8 weeks, Sculptra™ will stimulate the collagen under the skin and your face will begin to re-volumise. It’s worth waiting at least 6-8 weeks before returning for treatment number two.
Professional dental teams are experts in local anaesthesia, ensuring that pain at the injection sites is minimised, and that the experience of ‘The Liquid Face-lift’ is the best that it can be.
