Mini Implants

Full dental implant only £51.66* per month including the crown

Mini Dental ImplantsAmong the revolutionary new technology in the dental care field is the invention of Mini implants. You would expect they are much smaller in size than normal dental implants and their main selling point is the fact that they do not require invasive surgery to insert them. Especially in cases where the patient has little bone preventing the placement of longer conventional ones.

Crowns, bridges, and dentures can be attached to Mini Implants, making them just as versatile as traditional implants. The procedure to attach the mini implants takes just 30 minutes and requires local anesthetic of the jaw bone.

The advantage is that postoperative problems are usually mild and patients who receive the implants generally have few if any complications. Mini implants provide a great option for those who have dentures that are always loose or that move frequently throughout the day. The implants provide greater stability to the patient and alleviate that constant worry of slipping dentures. The surgical aspect of placing them is simpler than that of placing conventional ones.

Mini Dental ImplantsMini and conventional implants are a permanent fixture and are an effective way to keep dentures in if you use a fixative currently you will no longer need it after treatment. Not only does this remove the time requirements of dentures, it also means you don’t need to spend hundreds of pounds every year on fixatives and adhesives for your dentures. Mini implants start to pay for themselves over time!

Mini implants allow the wearer confidence in eating a range of foods they may have previously avoided. Implants can also be combined with dentures, single teeth or numerous teeth with dental bridges. Mini implants are a long-term, effective solution for missing teeth and are considerably cheaper that traditional dental implants.

However, they do have their limitations such as they are not as strong and firm as conventional implants. Additionally, they do not have as good long term success rates as conventional implants. Here at Carisbrook we only do mini implants on our patients after careful examination and planning. With careful planning and right case selection, they are more predictable and successful.
