We have a long history of treating nervous patients and our sedation for dental work means we help to overcome fears
Dental phobia (the fear of going to a dentist) is nothing to be ashamed of. Lots of people suffer from it, but our acclaimed nervous patients care programme, our pain management methods and in particular, our sedation for dental work techniques mean that even the most nervous of patients now need no longer fear making a dental appointment.
At Carisbrook we have an outstanding reputation for our nervous patients care and everything at our practice is designed to put patients at ease from the moment they enter the building.
“Professional, friendly caring staff make you feel at ease as soon as you walk through the door. No need to be frightened of any treatment whatsoever.”
Your treatment will never be rushed and everything will be fully explained to you before any treatment is commenced. Everything about our clinic is designed to be calming and relaxing, but most of all we always ensure that you feel in control and we do everything possible to make your visit as comfortable and carefree as possible.
A major part of our nervous patients care plan is to reassure you that there is absolutely nothing to fear. Our pain management and our sedation for dental work mean that our dental treatment really is pain-free. In fact, many patients, who previously had been quite nervous about visiting a dentist, now tell us that they have no hesitation whatsoever in coming to Carisbrook for treatment.
“A massive thank you for the fabulous way they took care of this ‘nervous wreck’. I cannot praise them enough.”
The fear of injections is often one of the main causes of dental phobia, but we have overcome that concern with our pain-free Wand. Instead of using a traditional syringe, the Wand delivers an automated dose of anaesthetic. It really is pain-free and many patients tell us that they didn’t feel it at all.
Sedation for dental work is another way we help nervous patients overcome their fears. We can provide either oral or intravenous (IV) sedation to help calm nerves. Both methods help patients enormously and although they feel very relaxed and co-operative, they do not remember anything of their treatment.
“I had a tooth extraction yesterday under sedation.’
“I’m a very nervous patient and had sedation and the treatment was perfect, they made me feel very relaxed.
