Dentures are designed to replace missing teeth and are traditionally removable relying on suction from the gums. More retentive and stable dentures are also available that are fixed to dental implants or other natural teeth.

Many dentists across the North West refer their patients to the practice for dentures. Implant dentures as compared to conventional dentures are becoming the preferred option in many cases. With implants the dentures are attached in the mouth to dental implants very securely so our patients have the confidence to eat what they want, where they want.

It’s really disappointing to hear there are patients out there who do not eat out at restaurants due to the fear of their dentures failing out. With modern dental implant dentures this really should be a thing of the past. If you are one of these people please contact our clinic and we can put you in touch with some of our clients who have had this treatment and they can explain how it’s changed their lives.

Dentures have many advantages, such as improving an individual’s overall appearance, reducing a ‘sunken’ cheek look, enhancing eating and speech capability, and general restoration of a sense of confidence. The main disadvantage is they are removable and need maintenance and regular cleaning.

Depending on an individual’s mouth structure, we will recommend the ideal type of denture. If a patient cannot have a bridge due to affixing limitations from lack of natural teeth, your dentist will advise on the type of denture best suited to you. Both partial and complete dentures are available.

Brands such as Valplast require no tooth or tissue preparation, ensuring a swift and satisfying result, as well as preventing discomfort.
